Palabra de Honor

Palabra de Honor, a red wine from 2020, is Adega Vella’s most traditional take on red wines. It is a varietal wine, 100% Mencía.

It comes from very slate-rich vineyards, with slopes of up to 65%, facing southwest, which improves the grapes’ exposition to the weather.

Palabra de Honor is a completely artisanal wine (including the grape stomping), and rested in 500l Tonnellerie Bordelaise oak.

The palate is intense, the French oak being virtually undetectable.

It has a stark blood color.
