Ámboa Lútum, a red wine from 2019, is Rectoral de Gundivós’ magnum opus. It is a blend of 80% Mencía, 20% Merenzao and Negreda from the plots Lobeira and Lombo (previously featured in the Wall Street Journal). The soil is a mixture of slate and granite.
Ámboa Lútum ferments and matures in 200l clay amphoras, and rests in French oak for 6 months.
Its nose is intense, bringing notes of dark fruits, balsams, toast and licorice.
The palate is earthier, vivid, wide, mineral and extraordinarily persistent.
It possesses a distinctively maroon shade.
